Kevin Durant & Carmelo Anthony Announced As Top Finalist For NBA’s Community Assist Award

Every year the NBA Dishes out a plethora of awards, but one that always catches our attention is the NBA’s Community Assist Award. This award acknowledges player from around the league that go above and beyond to become more productive citizens in their respective communities. This years 2015-2016 fan voting is officially underway, giving fans a chance to get in on the action early.

The nominees for this years award include; Carmelo Anthony, Mike Conley, Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Zach LaVine, Damian Lillard,Victor Oladipo, and John Wall.

This years marks the 4th year of the award, and let’s just say it’s touched some pretty cool hands. Past winners include Pau Gasol (2011-12), Dwyane Wade (2012-13), Stephen Curry (2013-14), and Russell Westbrook (2014-15).

Fans looking to take part in this amazing experience will have up until May 18th to vote for their favorite nominee’s via various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #NBACommunityAssist, followed by a hashtag with the player’s first and last name, (i.e. #CarmeloAnthony, #AndreDrummond).

The winner of this years (2015-2016) awards, along with the NBA and Kaiser Permanente will have  $25,000 donated to their charity of choice.
