The hosts of talk-variety show “The Real” were recently sat down with First Lady Michelle Obama at The White House and it was pretty awesome!
During the sit down FLOTUS, Michelle Obama opened up about her experiences in school, as well as memories she recalls of our very own President Barack Obama back in high school.
According to FLOTUS, her husband didn’t have it all together in high school. He slacked off a bit, and didn’t take school very seriously. She even jokingly referred to him as a “bum” in those years!
First Lady Obama further shares that it wasn’t until Barack Obama’s second years of college, when he transferred to Columbia University, when things changed for him. This is when he began to take school seriously, and needless to say, he took his education, and made something of it.
Michelle Obama, on the other hand, recalled school being somewhat difficult in a different aspect:
“The first night of college was a mess. It was a one-room triple. I got sheets that were too short for the bed. I didn’t have the money to get the right sheets. For the entire first year, I was sleeping half on the sheets and half on plastic.”
Michelle Obama undoubtedly brought us the real!
