Well, it’s here! WNBA season is back and we are ready to get things moving here in Atlanta, GA. While the Atlanta Dream will house their home games inside the Georgia Tech McCamish Pavilion, a location change won’t affect the energy of this 2017 team. And though we won’t be seeing McCoughtry on the court (*tears*), we just may catch her in the stands or at McCoughtry’s Ice Cream (“a happy Place!”), where Angel has decided to put her business savvy skills to work at her new Ice Cream shop located right next door to Kandi Burress’ restaurant, Old Lady Gang (Smart move, McCoughtry).
So… Who is #7?
Brittany Sykes, a standout collegiate women’s basketball player from Syracuse has been drafted to the Dream for the 2017 season and is the only rookie in a team full of vets. She brings spot on 3-point shooting, a strong defensive presence, where her strength and height allows her the ability to guard 2s and 3s, and not to mention her strong basketball IQ. Her skill set is expected to help the team tremendously, especially without the presence of McCoughtry this season.
But, let’s get to know Sykes little more off the court! Naturally, as she wears #7 on the court this year, I asked her 7 “This or That” questions and had her share 7 Fun Facts about herself. Check out her answers below!
Pancakes or waffle?
Morning or evening?
Alaska or Hawaii?
Fire or ice?
